Cookie Notice
Last updated: 9 September 2026
This Cookie Notice explains how Scicom (MSC) Berhad (Registration No. 200201029763 (597426-H)) (“SCICOM”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on www.scicom-intl.com (the “Site”). It should be read together with our Privacy Notice and Website Terms of Use. Where cookies or similar technologies collect personal data, that data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Notice and the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Act 709), as amended.
1. What are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your computer or mobile device when you visit. They allow the website to remember choices and help its operator understand how it is used. Some cookies are set by the website you are visiting, others are set by third-party services whose content appears on it. References in this Notice to cookies include similar technologies where applicable.
Cookies may be “session” cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or “persistent” cookies, which stay on your device until they expire or you delete them.
2. How Scicom uses Cookies
We use cookies for a small number of purposes:
- (i)To make the website work, including remembering the cookie choice you make, so that we do not ask you on every page;
- (ii)To understand how the website is used, such as which pages are read, how visitors arrive and how they move through the site, so that we can improve it; this is done only with your consent; and
- (iii)To show content from other providers, such as the 15-minute delayed share price and historical price information on our Investor Relations pages and the map on our Contact page. These providers may set their own cookies, and that content is shown only with your consent.
3. Types of Cookies we use
- (i)Strictly necessary cookies. These are required for the website to function and cannot be switched off. The Site currently uses scicom_consent, a cookie set by SCICOM to record your cookie preferences. It is kept for six months, after which you will be asked to make your choice again.
- (ii)Analytics cookies. These help us understand how visitors interact with the website. Google Tag Manager manages website tags and Google Analytics collects usage and technical information, which SCICOM uses primarily in aggregated or statistical form to understand and improve the Site. Analytics functionality is enabled only after you allow analytics cookies.
- (iii)Functional cookies. These are used by embedded third-party content. On this website that includes the 15-minute delayed and historical share price data provided by ChartNexus on our Investor Relations pages and the office map provided by Google Maps on our Contact page. If you do not allow functional cookies, that content may be replaced with a link to the provider’s website while the rest of the page remains available.
- (iv)Marketing cookies. We do not currently use any. Should that change, this Notice and the cookie preference centre will be updated and, where required, you will be asked for your consent before such cookies are enabled.
4. Third-party cookies
Some services integrated into this website are operated by other companies, and they may place their own cookies when their content loads. On this website those services are:
- (i)Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics (Google LLC), to manage website tags and provide website analytics. Analytics functionality is loaded only with your consent to analytics cookies;
- (ii)ChartNexus, which provides the 15-minute delayed and historical share price data for Scicom (MSC) Berhad on Bursa Malaysia, shown on our Investor Relations pages. Loaded only with your consent to functional cookies; and
- (iii)Google Maps (Google LLC), which provides the map of our corporate office on the Contact page. Loaded only when you choose to view the map and have consented to functional cookies.
We do not control the cookies or similar technologies used by these providers. Their collection and use of information is governed by their own privacy and cookie notices or policies. Where SCICOM processes information from these services as personal data, our Privacy Notice also applies.
5. Managing your cookie preferences
When you first visit this website you are asked to accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or choose which optional categories to allow. Strictly necessary cookies remain on whichever you choose.
You can review or change your choice at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of every page, or the button at the end of this Notice. Changes will apply to subsequent use of optional cookies and embedded content; you may need to refresh the page for the change to take full effect.
You can also control cookies through your browser, including deleting cookies already stored and blocking new ones. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may mean the website cannot remember your cookie preferences. Your browser’s help pages explain how to do this.
6. Changes to this Cookie Notice
We may update this Cookie Notice to reflect changes to the Site, the services we use or applicable law. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. If a change requires consent, we will seek that consent before the relevant cookies or uses are enabled.
